Question 1

How often should a conservatory roof be cleaned?

Accepted Answer

Most roofs want a clean twice a year. I only have one or two specialist days a month, so message with photos if you want a date.

Question 2

Do you use chemicals on the roof?

Accepted Answer

A biodegradable treatment for algae and lichen, then a pure-water rinse. Nothing caustic, and we wet the borders first so your plants aren’t in the firing line.

Question 3

Can you clean polycarbonate without scratching it?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Soft pads, no grit, no cheap brushes. Scratched polycarbonate is a one-way trip to haze.

Question 4

Do you clean tiled conservatory roofs in Brentwood?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Glass conservatory roofs across Essex, and tiled conservatory roofs in Brentwood and nearby. We clean them — we don’t replace the tiles.

Question 5

Will you clean inside the conservatory as well?

Accepted Answer

If you ask. Interior glass, frames and the roof from below. We take shoes off, move the light furniture, and put it back.

Question 6

Do I need to be at home?

Accepted Answer

Not for an exterior roof and window clean, as long as we can get to the garden. For interiors, yes — or leave a key with a neighbour and tell us.

Question 7

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Public liability to £5 million. Water-fed poles from the ground are the default. If a lantern needs a closer look, we say so before we start.

Question 8

How long does a typical job take?

Accepted Answer

A small lean-to is often under two hours. Victorian roofs and lanterns take a morning. We’ll give you a window when we confirm the quote.

Question 9

What areas do you cover?

Accepted Answer

All of Brentwood: the town, Warley, Hutton, Shenfield, Pilgrims Hatch, Ingrave, Herongate, West Horndon, Doddinghurst, Kelvedon Hatch, Blackmore and Mountnessing. Based at 7 The Vale, CM14 4UX. One or two days a month for speciality conservatory cleans.
